This a summary of the feedback from participants who attended the Safeguarding Adults Training in 2020 and to date in 2021.

The safeguarding bits are always good to be reminded of safeguarding theory
Gives an awareness of when we should be thinking about talking with our leader/staff member about concerning issues

Yes – particularly during assessments with new clients and subsequent risk assessments and conversations with clients if a safeguarding concern was identified.

What worked well?
Breakout rooms, flow of the session
Her friendly way of delivering the presentation and the opportunity to explore through groups exercises
I enjoyed the way the trainer delivers the materials, the slides are clear and informative
Break away small groups, very interactive
Marcia’s passion and experience came across and different scenarios and daily examples also added interest
The trainer was confident and consistent, which was very reassuring, especially for this form of training.
The case study/group-based exercise was useful way to learn and share ideas.
The pace and structure of the session
There was a lot of information to be delivered so lots of necessary teaching, it was good splitting into breakout rooms and having videos to vary learning.
Layout of training.
It all worked well. Having the case studies was useful
The providing info in regard to the ongoing IT sessions mixed with the content, it was reassuring
Trainer was passionate and enthusiastic and gave lots of real-life examples
The real-world examples and case studies.
The PowerPoint and relevant statistics & figures. The fact that everything cut straight to the point and there was no waffle.
It was clear and up to date. I think some people may have found the pace a bit quick but for me it was a refresher, so it was well paced
Very engaging presentational style and delivery skills, helpful breakout rooms, very interesting quizzes and an expert, excellent trainer. Personally, I feel this has been the best safeguarding training I’ve ever attended.
